Jason Young is a partner in the Americas Banking & Finance practice of Clifford Chance in New York. His practice focuses mainly on representing major domestic and foreign financial institutions, corporate borrowers and private equity sponsors in secured and unsecured financing transactions, including syndicated lending, acquisition and leveraged financing, refinancing and restructuring, bankruptcy workouts, asset financing, structured financing and other financing transactions. Jason's experience covers a full array of domestic and cross-border transactions, including many Asian, Latin American and European deals, and a variety of industries, including professional sports, real estate, insurance, information technology and financial institutions. Jason is recognized by Chambers USA as a notable nationwide sports law practitioner.
Jason graduated from Tulane University with a B.A. summa cum laude in 1996 and then from Harvard Law School with a J.D. in 1999. After law school, he clerked for the Hon. Helen G. Berrigan, United States District Judge (Eastern District of Louisiana).
Jason is Chairperson of Clifford Chance's Americas Diversity Committee and Co-head of Clifford Chance's Americas Pro Bono & Corporate Responsibility Program. Jason also chairs Arcus (Clifford Chance's network for LGBT colleagues and allies) in the US and globally and is an officer of The Clifford Chance Foundation, Inc. In addition, he serves as an Advisory Board Member for the Harvard Association for Law and Business.
