Latina Vega, Veteran USAFSAGEVets Program Coordinator
Latina Vega is the SAGEVets Program Coordinator for Services & Advocacy for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender Elders (SAGE), the country’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBT older adults.She is also a Unites States Air Force Veteran who served during the Gulf War. She has lived all over the world, in places like, Japan, Germany, Guam and Hawaii.
Latina recently worked at the NY Harbor Veterans Health Clinic in Brooklyn, putting veterans in touch with military and state benefits while also providing case management on other various issues. Today, as the SAGEVets Program Coordinator, Latina will be continuing her care management while guiding and assisting older veterans impacted by military policies to attain their benefits. She is committed to sharing resources and the various programs afforded to older military veterans within SAGE.
In her free time, this Bronx native loves to travel. She is also a freelance, fine art photographer as well as an Instagram enthusiast and she also dabbles in financial services. Latina is the ultimate pitbull lover and supporter and on any given day, she can be found roaming the streets of NYC with camera in tow looking for the best places to eat and satisfy the foodie in her.
