Lisa EddyProgram Coordinator, SAGE-GRIOT Innovative Senior Center of Brooklyn
Lisa Eddy is a Program Coordinator for the SAGE-GRIOT ISC. She is a Brooklyn native who is passionate about the lives of LGBT elders in her community. She was introduced to GRIOT as a wood carving member there, and was thrilled to use her catering skills for GRIOT’s small events. She has since earned her certification in Food Protection.
Lisa joined SAGE-GRIOT ISC in May 2015 as Program Coordinator, where she manages daily operations for GRIOT, an organization committed to the dignity, well-being, and quality of life of LGBTQ people of color. Lisa compiles database systems to analyze the effectiveness of programs. She has a strong passion for providing innovative and culturally sensitive programming for older adults.
Lisa comes to SAGE-GRIOT with more than 20 years of experience in financial editing and a liberal arts degree. She has volunteered with Global Earth Programs and was a mentor for Angel Guardian teenagers (now Mercy-First) for 10 years. She also has a passion for cycling and is a member of Brooklyn Alliance for Safer Streets. She has her certification for media video production w/ BRIC Media Arts, which she uses to document SAGE-GRIOT activities. Lisa also loves poetry and refurbishing furniture.
