Kelly KentDirector of National Housing Initiative
Kelly Kent is the Director of National Housing Initiative with SAGE. Prior to joining SAGE, Mr. Kent spent 19 years working in the affordable housing industry. He served as Senior Advisor, National Initiatives as well as Vice President of the Organizational Assessment Division for NeighborWorks America. Prior to joining NeighborWorks, Mr. Kent spent 8 years as Senior Program manager with the Corporation for Supportive Housing's Strategic Partnership, Innovations and Research Unit. In this position, Kelly focused CSH's work around how to create organic opportunities to provide long-lasting supportive housing and services to those who most needed it. Mr. Kent has also spent years of his career working through subcontracts with the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Kelly completed his undergraduate work in African-American and American Studies and his Master's Degree in Urban Planning with a concentration in Real Estate Finance and Housing Policy both from the University of Kansas. When not working, Kelly enjoys spending time with family and friends. He spends a good deal of time spoiling his niece and nephew and attends their various events and activities. He enjoys reading, Bikram yoga, running, and is an avid movie buff.
