Stacey Lococo is the Special Assistant to Programs and Developmentat Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE), the country’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBT older adults. In this role, Stacey ensures the smooth operations of both the Programs and Development departments. In addition, she chairs SAGE’s Accessibility Committee, ensuring that SAGE’s programs, services and communications are responsive to the needs of older adults with disabilities. Stacey initially joined SAGE in the fall of 2009 as a temp in the development department and shortly after transitioned into a full-time position as the Executive Assistant to Executive Director before taking on her current role in 2011.
Stacey holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Ramapo College and a master’s in Social Work Non-Profit Management and Administration from Rutgers University. Prior to joining the team at SAGE, Stacey was the Development Associate at New Jersey Community Development Corporation where, as part of a two-person team, she organized fundraising events, managed volunteers, designed and authored the newsletter, maintained and updated website content, and built and maintained the organization’s Raiser’s Edge database.
Stacey lives in New York and volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for a child in the foster care system and also co-hosts community trainings on Human Trafficking.
