Justin RosadoDevelopment Associate
Justin Rosado is a Development Associate at Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE). A member of SAGE’s dynamic Development Team, Justin works to ensure detailed data entry accurate reporting of all donations. In addition, Justin updates the SAGE donation and events pages as well as prepares event and donation e-blasts. In addition to his Development work, Justin is also an active member of SAGE’s Diversity Committee working with other staff to ensure that SAGE makes the principles of diversity and inclusion a centerpiece of SAGE’s purpose, people and work.
Prior to working at SAGE, Justin served as a Development Associate at Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation (CHLDC), where he researched and developed government and foundation grant proposals and reports. With a history in community organizing and direct service, Justin has previously served as Lead Organizer of FIERCE, as well as the NYC Anti-Violence Project where he authored the 2010 Report on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and HIV-Affected Intimate Partner Violence. He also served as the Education Associate at GLSEN, where he coordinated the national No Name Calling Week and created lesson plans and resources for educators, including the revised version of the GLSEN Safe Space Kit.
A self-described “Gay Geek,” Justin enjoys all things Sci-Fi, particularly the Buffy-verse and Star Trek.
