Rick Hill joined Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE) as the Special Events & Major Gifts Officer in March 2013, bringing with him over 20 years of successful fundraising in the LGBT and HIV communities. SAGE is the country's largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBT older adults. Rick is responsible for producing SAGE’s fundraising events, including the SAGE Awards & Gala, Toy Party for Kids & Seniors, Fire Island Pines Celebration, Women's Pride in the Pines as well as cultivating major donor support in South Florida and Washington, DC.
Rick comes to SAGE after serving as HRC's National Political Fundraiser in 2012 preceded by 8 years at Lambda Legal as the National Events Director and Major Gifts Officer. Rick's commitment to fundraising for organizations in the LGBT and HIV communities began when he was Co-Chair of the first Atlanta AIDS Walk in 1991, an event that raised over $1,000,000. That successful experience led him on a path to a position for several years with HRC as the Western Region Events Manager. After HRC, Rick worked as a Donor Services Officer for the Gill Foundation before eventually joining Lambda Legal.
Rick has served on the Board of Directors for GenderPac. He graduated with a degree in International Banking & Finance with a minor in French from the University of Georgia.
