Katie Liederman

Program Coordinator, The SAGE Center

Katie Liederman is the Program Coordinator for The SAGE Center, the country's first innovative senior center for LGBT older adults. Katie has taught at public schools, various LGBTQ after-school programs and community centers in New York City.

She was Bronx Community Pride Center’s Youth Services Coordinator for several years, and most recently worked as a publicist for Topside Press, which specializes in transgender fiction. Since 2011, she’s been on the ally planning committee for the annual Philadelphia Trans Health Conference, and was a longtime volunteer at Sylvia’s Place, NYC’s only emergency LGBT youth shelter.

She has written for The Huffington Post, BlackBook, Penthouse Forum, Nerve, V, V Man, Leslie Lohman’s The Archive, Curve, GO, Velvetpark, The New Gay,, and was a resident blogger on Showtime’s Ourchart.comShe received a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Cornell University, and an M.F.A. in Nonfiction Writing from Sarah Lawrence College.
