Elise Colomer-CheadleInterim Director of Institutional Partnerships
EliseColomer-Cheadle is the Interim Director of Institutional Partnerships at Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE). A member of SAGE’s dynamic Development Team, Elise develops and manages SAGE’s corporate giving & partnerships portfolio.
From 2003-2012, Elise was Associate Director & Director of Latin America Programs at the New York City Bar Association’s Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice, where she oversaw institutional development and was responsible for the launch and implementation of the Pro Bono Declaration for the Americas, International Pro Bono Network and Global Pro Bono Clearinghouse. In this capacity, Elise worked extensively in 13 countries throughout the Americas building cross-border legal teams between the Center and leading corporate law firms, bar associations, social justice organizations, law schools and multilateral human rights bodies to address the unmet legal needs of the poor. From 2002-2003, Elise was head of City Diplomacy at the Glocal Forum, managing institutional relationships with mayoral offices in 70 cities globally, as well as the Forum’s World Bank-sponsored Peace Building Conference and We Are the Future Concert. Prior to that, Elise was Business and Partnerships Officer at the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) where she co-established and co-managed one of the UN’s first units for partnerships with the private sector in support of the UN Global Compact; its first UN & Business Conference; and the system’s first Business Advisory Council.
Elise holds a Master of Science in Administration of International Organizations from Columbia University School of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Tufts University. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Elise is bilingual in English and Spanish.
