Where We Work

At the national level

SAGE's national programs and federal presence ensure that LGBT older people in all parts of the country have the supports they need to age successfully. From our premier training for aging providers, to hundreds of consumer resources for LGBT elders, to successful programs such as SAGEWorks—and much more—SAGE's offerings reach hundreds of thousands of people wherever they live. Read more about our national programs.

In local communities around the country

Our growing program of local SAGE affiliates, SAGENet, is based in 28 local communities across 20 states and every region of the country. SAGE affiliates provide critical services to elders in their communities, while engaging in policy advocacy at the local, state and federal level. We also work with leaders in new sites to launch affiliates that can improve the quality of life for LGBT older people in their communities. Join SAGENet.

In Washington, DC

SAGE's federal advocacy ensures that the unique needs of LGBT older adults are addressed in Congress and throughout the federal government. We coordinate gatherings of policymakers, release original policy analysis and publications, and work with leaders in the aging field and the LGBT rights movement to ensure that policymakers remain aware and responsive to our issues. Learn more about SAGE's policy priorities.
