SAGE offers several training options for aging service providers, LGBT organizations and older adult housing and retirement communities. SAGE trainings use a variety of adult learning techniques to demonstrate what makes LGBT older adults unique in the professional care setting and how providers can cost-effectively modify intake, service and marketing protocols to make your organizations welcoming. SAGE trainings are flexible and can be designed to meet your specific needs.

LGBT Cultural Competency Training

At SAGE, we hear from many organizations that work with older adults (and LGBT organizations that work with non-aged populations) who are open to working with LGBT clients, but are not sure of how to provide the best possible services. To address these issues, SAGE's National Resource Center on LGBT Aging, in collaboration with national training agency PHI and seven other partners, has developed four separate 4-hour trainings: two for aging service providers and two for LGBT organizations. We offer your agency these trainings free of charge, to all levels of staff and volunteers, to help you create an inclusive, safe and welcoming environment for your LGBT older adult population.
