Interested in Volunteering?

Our community is only as strong as the most vulnerable among us.
We need your help caring for LGBT elders. Volunteers:

  • Offer peer-to-peer support without judgment
  • Listen to callers who are often very isolated and sometimes still closeted
  • Answer factual questions regarding safer-sex information
  • Give local resource information using the largest LGBT resource database in the country

Understandably, a fair amount of training is required to teach you how to best respond to those in need. Our training consists of a two-month program that consists of online study, a class, and then a weekly one-on-one buddy shift for six weeks. After that, we ask volunteers to donate:

  • 2½ hours of time
  • At the same time each week
  • For at least six months

Can you help the most vulnerable in our community?
