Job Seekers
Support Us
There are currently more than 308,000 unemployed LGBT people age 40+ in the United States (as of August 2013). The number of underemployed—those whose employment is insufficient for their financial needs—increases those numbers even further.

The SAGEWorks Difference

SAGEWorks provides LGBT job seekers age 40+ with job-related workshops and coaching, as well as online resources to find a secure job or move up in their careers. Employers and businesses connect with SAGEWorks to diversify and strengthen their workforce, and to express their commitment to supporting LGBT older people. The program, offered through SAGE's national affiliate network, is making a difference.

SAGEWorks has many community partners who assist the program. Consider joining the list of important collaborating partners, such as:

  • AARP Foundation
  • U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics
  • Good Temps
  • National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce NY
  • ACCES - VR
  • ReServe
  • LGBT Community Center of NYC
  • Older Adults Technology Services (OATS)
  • Operation HOPE Financial Dignity Center
  • New York Legal Assistance Group

SAGEWorks offers a range of opportunities for community-based organizations, local employers and volunteers. If you are interested in VOLUNTEERING for SAGEWorks, please contact Michele D'Amato, SAGEWorks Program Manager at

SAGEWorks is made possible through the generous support of the Walmart Foundation.
