![]() Would you like to be remembered by your community and support GLBT seniors and SAGE? Including SAGE in your will or retirement plan is one of the easiest ways to leave a lasting legacy of your own. Such a gift lives on in the many SAGE programs you'll help to support. By naming SAGE as a beneficiary in your estate planning, you will help ensure that the critical services and advocacy that SAGE provides for GLBT older people will continue for future generations. Making A Bequest to SAGE in Your Will The easiest and most common way that people make a planned gift is through a bequest in their will. Bequests sometimes allow donors to make more significant contributions than what might be affordable during their lifetime. To learn more, click here. Other Planned Giving Options at SAGE Other planned giving options at SAGE include charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, and naming SAGE as a beneficiary in your retirement plan. To learn more about these options, click here. Important Information about SAGE You can name SAGE in your will as "SAGE" or "Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders," our current name. You may also name SAGE as "Senior Action in a Gay Environment" (our former name) or "United Community Services for the Aging" (an alternative name). In drafting your will, you may use whichever of these names is most comfortable for you. Please note that it is important to include SAGE's business address: 305 Seventh Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001. Designating a beneficiary in your retirement plans may require you to provide a Social Security number or a tax-identification number for each of your beneficiaries. You may also be required to identify your relationship with the intended beneficiary. If you would like to include SAGE as a beneficiary in your 401(k), 403(b) or other retirement plan, please note that SAGE's tax-identification number is 13-2947657 and you may identify SAGE as a 501(c)3 charity (if you need to identify your relationship to SAGE).
