Antonio Parolin

Program Assistant, SAGEPositive

Antonio Parolin is a Program Assistant for the SAGEPositive Program. He started at SAGE as a volunteer in the Lend a Hand Program.
Antonio, born and raised in Australia, worked with the elder community in the Community Aged Care Program for the Salvation Army. There he worked as a Senior Care Coordinator for 14 years serving the socially and financially disadvantaged elder community in Melbourne. In 2013, Antonio was awarded the Gill Memorial Award, an annual award given to outstanding workers. Antonio also worked as a volunteer for the Victorian AIDS Council in the late 1980s and early ’90s in their Special Project unit, raising money for people living with HIV/AIDS.
A graduate of the University of Swinburne, Antonio previously worked as a nurse in the Psychiatric Unit at a major Melbourne hospital, Caulfield General Medical Centre. Antonio also has a diploma in Psychiatric Nursing and a diploma in Substance Abuse. Before moving into health care, Antonio worked as a purchasing manager and as an international purchasing controller.
Antonio moved to New York three years ago with his two Staffordshire Terriers, Mavis and Buttler, with whom he enjoys many long walks through Central Park. He lives in Manhattan with his husband.
