Alex Kent

SAGECAP Program Replication Coordinator

Alex Kent is the Program Replication Coordinator for SAGE. In this role, she is responsible for adapting the successful Caring and Preparing program (SAGECAP) for implementation in Baltimore, MD, through a partnership with the LGBT Health Resource Center of Chase Brexton Health Care. Alex previously spent 3.5 years as Program Manager in SAGE’s Community Services department, organizing social and recreational activities and creating programs like Lifelong Learning that later became staples of the SAGE Senior Centers. She is also a certified trainer with the National Resource Center on LGBT Aging.

Alex holds an MPA in Nonprofit Management from NYU’s Wagner School of Public Service. Committed to enhancing the network of people working professionally in the LGBT movement, she co-founded a group called “Profo Homos” and presents the popular “How to Become Gay for Pay” workshop each year at the National LGBTQ Task Force’s Creating Change conference.

When she’s not working for SAGE, she’s busy with her other job as Mommy to 3-year-old Ryan. She and her wife and son live in the Baltimore suburb of Columbia, Maryland.
