Porsha Hall

Assistant Director of Health Promotion Services & Evaluation

Porsha Hall is the Assistant Director of Health Promotion and Evaluation at SAGE, where she oversees and evaluates the health management, exercise, and nutrition programming for the five LGBT senior centers located throughout New York City. Previously at SAGE, she assisted with evaluating the nation’s first federally funded National Resource Center on LGBT Aging.

She is a health gerontologist and researcher who has more than a decade of experience designing programs and initiatives to improve the health outcomes among marginalized groups of older adults. As a researcher, her most recent work has concentrated on falls prevention, exercise promotion, and the development of innovative health education interventions for an aging population. She has extensive experience in community-based participatory research, qualitative/quantitative methodology, and survey methodology.

She is currently pursuing  a Doctorate in Health Education at Teachers College Columbia University, and she holds an MPH in Community Health Education from Hunter College and an MA in Gerontology from Georgia State University. In her spare time, she enjoys venturing into new coffee shops around NYC.
