There’s no doubt that we owe many of the liberties we enjoy today to LGBTQ+ elders. As we mark 55 years since the Stonewall Uprising, we also continue the fight to be seen, heard, and understood in a year plagued with anti-LGBTQ+ legislation and transphobic rhetoric. In this spirit, this June, let’s work harder than ever to uplift each other.  

Our LGBTQ+ elders have stood proudly in the face of bigotry for decades. Their bravery and resilience have paved the way for all our community’s hard-fought progress. Here at SAGE, we pledge to uplift their voices, Pride month and all year.

We are proud to march alongside our elders, amplify their stories, advocate with and for them, and most of all, insist that we refuse to be invisible.
