Creating a Florida Where All Elders Are Treated With Respect
On February 23rd, Serena Worthington, SAGE’s Director of National Field Initiatives, joined 75 LGBTQ+ elders and advocates in St. Petersburg/Tampa Bay for a special Town Hall sponsored by AARP, SAGE, the Equal Rights Center and Metro Wellness Community Center (home of SAGE Tampa Bay) “to discuss the issues LGBTQ+ older adults face and how this vulnerable demographic can be empowered to advocate on their own behalf when facing discrimination, while we work towards a Florida where all elders and all LGBTQ+ people are treated with dignity and respect.”
