SAGE Awards and Gala 2021

Please join us on October 18, 2021, from 5 to 8 PM EST at Cipriani Wall Street, 55 Wall Street, New York, to uplift the LGBTQ+ elder community at the 25th Annual SAGE Awards & Gala! This year’s honorees include Dr. Rachel Levine, Assistant Secretary for Health and a longtime champion of elders in the LGBTQ+ community. We will also recognize the work of Watermark Retirement Communities with the Jack Watters Corporate Advocate Award. Watermark is the first nationwide senior living company to be certified SAGECare platinum – requiring staff across the country to be trained in LGBTQ+ cultural competency to better meet the needs of their LGBTQ+ residents.

We have changed this year’s format from our traditional sit-down dinner to an elegant cocktail affair, with passed hors d’oeuvres and plentiful seating to give our guests ample opportunity to connect and also remain socially distant. Many of you have supported the gala in the past and we hope you’ll consider doing so again this year.

As we celebrate the strength of SAGE’s community, we are committed to prioritizing the safety of our guests. Please note, proof of vaccination is required for all in-person attendees. The safety of our guests and staff is paramount. In an effort to make everyone as comfortable as possible, we will only be filling the room at 50% capacity and are doing more of a cabaret-style format. Color-coded wristbands will be available for everyone to denote their social distancing comfort level. There will be plenty of food, drink, and celebration of our honorees, but the room will look a little different this year.
