Bill received a in B.A. in engineering from Brown University and his M.D. from the State University of New York at Syracuse. Although Bill is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases, he has spent most of his life focused on developing medicines for patients in need. Bill has held positions at the U.S. FDA, Pfizer, Inc, and the NIH/NIAID/Division of AIDS. Bill currently serves as President and Head of Development for Oligomerix, Inc, a biotechnology company focused on developing medicines for people with Alzheimer’s Disease and other degenerative disorders associated with aging.
Bill has been a SAGE supporter for over 10 years and has served as an ad hoc member of SAGE’s Strategic Planning Committee.
Bill is a member of St. Bartholomew’s church in New York City where he served on the Vestry from 2012 to 2015. Bill is also a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America. Bill lives on the North Fork of Long Island with his husband Bill (yes, two Bills!).
